Curated Wine Tours of Greece
Greek Wine? Really?
Not long ago, Greek wine wasn’t taken seriously. Through the 1980s and ’90s, many wineries focused on producing international varietals like Chardonnay and Cabernet, often with forgettable results. But a new generation — many the sons and daughters of family winemakers — saw the potential in Greece’s own ancient grapes. After studying viticulture and winemaking both at home and abroad in France, Italy, Spain, and California, they came back ready to transform the family business. They tore out the generic vines and replanted indigenous varietals that had nearly been lost. Today, those same vineyards are producing world-class, award-winning wines that combine thousands of years of heritage with modern craft.
And that’s the story we want to share with you — by visiting these wineries, meeting the people behind them, and tasting the wines that have put Greece back on the world map.
Our tours aren’t sommelier-style tasting marathons; they’re vacations, with a handful of winery visits providing a cultural and agro-tourism theme to a journey that also includes historic sites, museums, beautiful landscapes, and plenty of free time to explore.
